Wash the inside of the bottle thoroughly with room temperature water and a mild soap.
Fill your bottle only with still water. Do not use for hot liquids, juices, carbonated drinks, or milk.
Never put your copper bottle in the dishwasher.
The exterior has a protective coating. Wipe it gently with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive sponges or harsh chemicals.
Pure copper naturally oxidizes and develops dark spots (tarnish) over time. This is not a defect; it is the ultimate proof that your bottle is made of authentic, unlined copper.
To clean the inside, mix equal parts of lemon juice and salt (or vinegar and baking soda). Pour the mixture into the bottle, add warm water, shake well, and let it sit for 15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.
Use the included long-handled brush specifically for cleaning the interior of your bottle. The flexible bristles will reach the bottom easily without scratching the copper surface.
